Portuguese InovGrid about our EU-SysFlex: Integrating Renewable Energy Sources

By 2021, €26.4M will be invested with the goal of integrating renewable energy sources in Europe. EUSysflex will have 8 demonstration areas across Europe to test all the tools being developed. In Portugal, a “Virtual Power Plant” will be tested. The aim is to control the production of a dam according to the wind availability, as to maximize the integration of wind power production from neighbooring wind farms. Plus, a “Flexibility Hub”, a market facilitator coordinated by EDP Distribuição, will provide technical validations for the flexibilities mobilized by the TSO.
