AKKA Informatique et Systèmes (AKKA)

AKKA Informatique et Systèmes belongs to the AKKA TECHNOLOGIES group (www.akka.eu) one of
the major engineering and technology consultancy group in Europe, staffed with more than 12000
persons. AKKA proposes a balanced and diversified portfolio of activities and accompanies its
customers at each stage in the life-cycle of their products. AKKA has been qualified with conformity
certificate ISO 9001 version 2000, EN 9100 for its space and aeronautic activities and CMMI level 3
certification. AKKA ICT expertise includes the design and development of highly distributed
applications, model-based system engineering, Linked Data and knowledge management for
semantic-based analysis and exploitation of scientific data, servers and network architecture
optimization, security techniques for data and services in the Cloud, Big Data architectures and
solutions, mobile devices integration.

Main Task within the EU-SysFlex project

AKKA teams will bring their know-how on industrial software development, quality, usability, scalability and reliability of software architectures. They will intervene in WP9 mainly:

Definition of the data exchange platform Information and Communication models related to high
level models. AKKA will ensure that traceability matrix between high level layers (Business and
Functional) and low level layers (Information and Communication) is relevant (complete).

On the basis of the data exchange model layers (Business, System, Information and
Communication) AKKA will measure (compare, quantify) data exchange performance of a subset of
information syntaxes (XML Schema, RDF, etc.) and protocols (Webservice, XMPP, etc.)

Data Format / Communication protocols and technical requirements analysis for elicitation of
applicable methodologies and BigData frameworks for effective data collection, data storage, stream
processing and data mining.

Development tasks through the definition of a (scalable) Big Data Architecture that enables Data
collection (real-time), data storage and data stream processing. This architecture will enable data
analysis both on stream (Spark, Storm) and on historical data (NoSql, HDFS, etc.). AKKA will
contribute to the development of the defined architecture for the demonstrations.

AKKA (through AKKA I&S) will lead the development of sample mobile applications (on Android or
iOS) forconsumers, enabling access to EU-SysFlex flexibility services and will participate in the design
and the implementation of data security solutions (AKKA has experience of technical lead in the
CLARUS H2020 Project related to these issues (www.clarussecure.eu)).

AKKA participate in a StoA on technics that can be used to take into account data privacy
requirements of EUSysFlex data exchange platform. AKKA will participate in the integration of
anonymization techniques for personal data management.
